Six dead, ten injured in bus-auto collision
Nashik, Sep 15 (UNI) Six people were killed and ten others injured in a head-on collision between a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation(MSRTC) bus and an autorickshaw, about 60 km from here, today, police said.
The accident occurred around 0845 hrs when the MSRTC bus, proceeding towards Kanashi from Kalwan, collided with the autorickshaw coming from the opposite direction, near the Eklahara village.
All the victims were occupants of the autorickshaw, which was carrying as many as 16 passengers. Nine of them were rushed to Kalwan rural hospital, where five succumbed to their injuries. Seven others were rushed to Civil Hospital, where one died, police sources said.
