RBI fixes reference rate at Rs 45.94 per USD

Mumbai, Sep 15 (UNI) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today fixed the reference rate for US dollar at Rs 45.94 per unit, edged up by 17 paise, against Friday's rate of Rs 45.77 per dollar.

The reference rate for Euro, increased by Rs 1.75 paise at Rs 65.95 per unit, from Friday's close of Rs 64.20 per unit, an RBI release stated.

The exchange rates for Pound and Japanese Yen against the Rupee were quoted high at Rs 82.8459 (80.6742) per Pound and Rs 43.42 (42.62) per 100 units of Yen.
