Haryana Women Sports Festival to begin on Oct 4

Chandigarh, Sep 15 (UNI) Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Department is organising 22nd Haryana State Women Sports Festival at Mahavir Stadium, Hisar from October 4 to 6.

Sports events in various sports disciplines, such as athletics, gymnastic, swimming, table tennis, tennis, badminton, kabaddi, kho-kho, hand ball, volleyball, basket ball and hockey would be organised during the festival.

During this sports festival, the state teams for athletics, gymnastic and swimming for the National Women Sports Festival-2008 would also be selected, a spokesman of the Sports and Youth Affairs Department said.

He further informed that the State Inter Centre Gymnastic Competition, which was scheduled to be held at Panchkula from November 10 to 12, would now be held from November 4 to 6.
