Groundnutseed, oil up; RBD Palmolein falls

Mumbai, Sep 15 (UNI) Prices of groundnutseed and its oil edged up today on brisk buying support from stockists, while RBD palmolein slightly declined on lower buying support, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

Prices of seeds (per quintal) like groundnut and kardiseed improved by Rs 50 per quintal each on brisk buying support from stockists.

Javas 60/70, javas 70/80 and javas 80/90 declined by Rs 50 per quintal each on poor offtake. Castorseed Disa and Hyderabad also moved down by Rs 35 and Rs 50 per quinal respectively as traders were keen to sell their stocks, traders said.

Edible oils (per ten kg), refined palm oil and linseed reduced by Rs two and Rs 10 per ten kg on poor demand from bulk consumers.

Groundnut oil raw and rapeseed ref hiked by Rs 10 and Rs five per ten kg respectively, on speculative demand from stockists.

In de-oiled cakes, except undec cottonseed others remained steady.

Undec cottonseed reduced to Rs 100 per metric tonne on sustained heavy selling pressure from dealers, traders added.
