Becki Newton, John Legend named 'Most Stylish New Yorkers of 2008'

Washington, Sept 15 : Ugly Betty star Becki Newton and singer John Legend have been named 'The Most Stylish New Yorkers of 2008' by US Weekly magazine.

At a ceremony, hosted by Tyra Banks, the American publication honoured the 25 best-dressed stars, all hailing from New York.

The model-turned TV presenter insists that Manhattan really is the fashion capital of the world.

"You walk the streets of New York and people see you - you gotta look cute, in New York, you have to be popping," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

"There's no excuse to not look right. If you catch me looking busted, I deserve the worst dressed list," she added.

Other stars who made it to the coveted list are The View's Elisabeth Hasselbeck, designer Tommy Hilfiger, Project Runway's Christian Siriano, singer Cassie and Gossip Girl's Jessica Szohr.
