Bangladeshi nabbed while crossing to Pakistan

Ferozepur, Sep 15 (UNI) Intelligence agencies claimed to have nabbed a Bangladeshi youth last night from the sensitive Hussainiwala border area here while trying to cross into Pakistan.

According to preliminary reports, the arrested Bangladeshi national Akbar Ali, 19, was an ISI agent who had revealed that he, along with another accomplice, had entered India through Tripura border.

Before reaching Ferozepur, the duo had stayed in New Delhi, where his companion had stayed behind, Ali disclosed.

He was now being questioned about his and his friend's stay in Delhi as well in hope of finding some clue on the recent blasts in the capital, police sources said.

Ali had been residing here for over three months to gather information about the Indian army formations, sources said.

The police has also seized 90 US Dollars, a Nokia mobile phone and some incriminating documents from his possession.

After a brief interrogation, Intelligence agencies handed Ali over to the local police, which have registered a case against him under section 3-9 Official Secrets Act and 120-B IPC.
