Army jawan arrested in year old murder case
Jalandhar, Sep 15 (UNI) The district police today an army jawan in connection with a year old kidnapping and murder case.
Giving details here, SSP P K Rai said that on the bases of certain logical clues the police arrested Bhinder Singh alias Lucky, a resident of Buttar Bakooha village of Muktsar district in connection with the kidnapping and murder of Ramesh Kumar, a taxi driver.
The texi driver who was hired by Lucky and his two accomplices was allegedly murdered in September last year and his dead body was thrown in the Sutlej river. The trio, who were then listed as 'unidentified' had stolen the car, purse and mobile phone of the murdered taxi driver.
The other two accomplices identified as Baljit Singh alias Balli and Amritpal, both of Malewal village in Gurdaspur district were still at large.
