UPA govt failed to protect lives of innocent people: Naidu
Hyderabad, Sep 14 (UNI) Opposition Telugu Desam Party(TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu today alleged that the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government at the Centre had totally failed to protect the lives of innocent people.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Naidu, while condemning the serial bomb blasts in New Delhi yesterday, said the UPA Government had not taken any measures to combat the terrorist attacks all over the country.
He alleged that the intelligence wing of the country was not functioning properly to prevent terrorists activities.
The TDP leader pointed out that 729 innocent people were killed and 1,599 injured in 15 bomb blasts triggered by terrorists at various places in the country since 2004.
Referring to the law and order situation in Andhra Prasesh, he said there was no law and order and Hyderabad had become a hub for criminals.
The state government had failed to identify the culprits involved in the bomb blasts in Lumbini Park, Gokul Chat Bhandar and Mecca Masjid, he said claiming that the TDP Government had arrested the persons involved in the bomb blast at Saibaba temple in Dilsukhnagar within 24 hours after the incident.
