RLD demands lesser billing rate for rural areas
Lucknow, Sep 14 (UNI) The Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) today objected to the appliance of urban billing rate in certain development blocks by the Power Distribution Corporation (southern region).
Uttar Pradesh RLD president Ram Asrey Verma said various development blocks in Hathras, Mathura and Agra districts were being charged at the rate of Rs 175/per horse power, the rate applicable in urban areas. The billing in rural areas should be done at Rs 75/horse power, he demanded.
Party leader Dr Anil Chaudhary was also fasting to protest the same, Mr Verma added.
