Couple dies in north Kashmir due to heavy rains

Srinagar, Sep 14 (UNI) An elderly couple died due to heavy rains and hailstorm in the frontier district of Kupwara, a police spokesperson said today.

He said police recovered the bodies of a 70-year-old Mir Gul Khan and his 65-year-old wife Jameela, residents of Siranoo Rajouri from Suriya Bahak Bunges Nowgam in Handwara.

He said they had gone for grazing their cattle in meadows and died probably due to heavy rains and hailstorm.
