Two govt officers arrested for taking bribe of Rs.50,000
Darbhanga, Sept 13 (UNI) A team of vigilence sleuths arrested a district fisheries officer cum chief executive officer and a district superviser while they were receiving bribe of Rs 50,000 from a party at their office here today.
Official sourcs said here that both the officers demanded a bribe of Rs 60,000 from the staff of 'Self help Fisheries Co operative Private Limited' situated at Hanumantnagar block of the district for settlement of 57 government ponds and for right to fishing'.
Chief executive of the co operative Ankeswar Sahani had lodged a written complaint in the vigilence department against both the officers.
