Rs 15 lakh ration rice seized

Tiruchirapalli, Sep 13 (UNI) As many as 400 bags of ration rice, meant to be smuggled to Kerala, were today seized by the Civil Supplies CID from a private rice mill at Mandhurai Village near here.

On a tip off, police raided the rice mill premises and effected the seizure worth Rs 15 lakh and arrested three persons in this connection.

A lorry was also impounded, police said.
