Police recover Rs 7.40 lakh from habitual offender

Hyderabad, Sep 13 (UNI) Sleuths of Commissioner's Task Force, Central Zone, today apprehended a habitual offender and seized Rs.7.40 lakhs in cash from him.

A police press release here tonight said police nabbed 42-year-old Peddi Reddy Srinivas Alais Donga Srinu working as an assistant to an executive with a software company when he escaped with Rs 8.75 lakh in cash stolen from his employer.

The accused had spent Rs 1.35 lakhs of the stolen money lavishly on women and liquor. He was arrested while he was about to leave for Shirdi with the remaining amount.
