Haryana,Punjab, HP sound alert after Delhi serial blasts

Chandigarh, Sep 13 (UNI) The Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh governments and the administration of the Union Territory of Chandigarh sounded high alerts in their respective states following serial blasts in the National Capital this evening.

The Haryana government swung into action immediately to strengthen the security setup in Gurgaon, Faridabad and other areas falling in the National Capital Region (NCR). Patroling and checking has been intensified along the Delhi-Gurgaon, Delhi-Faridabad roads and NH-I.

Additional security force personnel have been called out and deployed in Gurgaon and Faridbad cities. Police personel have also been deployed at the numerious malls in Gurgaon and at bus stands and railways stations in the NCR.

Security has also been beefed up in other towns of Haryana.

Likewise according to Punjab Police sources, the security setup in the border state has been alerted. Security has also been stepped up in Chandigarh and its adjoining areas.

The Himachal Pradesh government has also sounded an alert in the hill state following the blasts in Delhi.
