Groundnutseed, its oil steady; RBD Palmolein slightly declines

Mumbai, Sept 13 (UNI) The prices of groundnutseed and its oil remained steady today on moderate demand by stockists while RBD palmolein slightly eased on poor offtake, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

Prices of key seeds (per quintal) like groundnut remained steady while javas 70/80 and javas 80/90 fell by Rs 35 and Rs 10 per quintal respectively amid sustained heavy selling pressure by bulk consumers.

Castorseed Bombay and Disa also moved down by Rs 25 and Rs 30 per quintal respectively on sluggish demand by bulk consumers, traders said.

Edible oils (per ten kg), groundnut raw remained unaltered while refined palm oil slightly fell by Rs one per ten kg on lack of fresh demand by dealers.

In de-oiled cakes, except undec cottonseed other de-oiled cakes remained steady.

Undec cottonseed rose by Rs 100 per metric tonne on better buying support, traders added.
