Return to warm, humid weather in Delhi, mercury rises to 36 Deg C

New Delhi, Sep 12 (UNI) A day after light rains and thundershowers brought some coolness to the weather in Delhi, warm and humid weather conditions today returned with the mercury rising to 36 degrees Celsius.

After a predominantly cloudy sky yesterday, the sun today appeared clear and bright on the skyline. The bright sunlight, coupled with a rise in humidity to 92 per cent, led to a rise in maximum temperature, from 35 degrees yesterday, to 36 degrees two degrees above normal.

The minimum was recorded at 24.9 degrees.

Some respite from the warm and humid weather could be in the offing in the coming days with weathermen forecasting some rain and thundershowers in the city in the next 24 hours.

The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with possibility of rain and thundershowers in a few areas.
