RBI fixes reference rate at Rs 45.77 per USD

Mumbai, Sep 12 (UNI) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today fixed the reference rate for US dollar at Rs 45.77 per unit, up by 33 paise, against yesterday's rate of Rs 45.44 per dollar.

The reference rate for Euro, increased by 72 paise at Rs 64.20 per unit, from yesterday's close of Rs 63.48 per unit, an RBI release stated.

The exchange rates for Pound and Japanese Yen against the Rupee were quoted at Rs 80.6742 (Rs 79.6222) per Pound and Rs 42.62 (42.30) per 100 units of Yen.
