More rains to lash coastal AP and Telangana

Visakhapatnam, Sep 12: The low pressure area over west central bay and adjoining northwest moved over land and now lies over Telangana and its neighbourhood as a well-marked low pressure area on Friday, Sep 12. CWC sources said the rain or thundershowers were likely to continue at many places over coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 24 hours.

Heavy rains are likely to occur at one or two places over coastal Andhra Pradesh during the same period.

The chief ammounts of rainfall in cm recorded during the last 24 hours were -- Ankapalli and Visakhapatnam Airport 10 each, Ranasthalam nine, Koderu eight, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Itchapuram seven each, Chintapalli, Salur, Bheemilipatnam, Waltair, six each, the sources added.
