5 Mega water supply schemes, 17 bridges coming up in Kashmir

Srinagar, Sep 12 (UNI) The Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA) are being executing 44 developmental projects at a cost of Rs 578 crore in Kashmir division, under Asian Development Bank funding.

Execution of Rs 21.5 crore Habdipora-Qadar-Qaimoh road and Rs 13.5 crore Sharda-Kamalkote-Uri road have been tendered by the ERA, a high level meeting was informed this afternoon.

The meeting was informed that work on Rs 17.77 crore Qazigund- Kulgam road, Rs 25 crore Lethpora-Pantha Chowk road, Rs 24.88 crore Humhama-Budgam road, Rs 10 crore Jehangir Chowk-SKIMS road, Rs 21.72 crore Natipora-Chadoora-Chrar-i-Sharief road are also on different stages of construction.

It was told that work on 17 bridges including Rs 2.84 crore Papachan Bandipora bridge, Rs 4.98 crore Kupwara Sonwani bridge, Rs 4.21 crore Soaf-Shali Anantnag bridge are also in full swing.

The meeting was further informed that Rs 77.23 crore are being incurred on the construction and upgradation work of Rangil Water Supply Scheme, Nishat Doodganga Water Supply Scheme, WTP Pumping Station Srinagar and Nishat-Dalbund Water Supply Scheme.

Work on Rs 25.38 crore 25 km drain from Bemina Chowk-Parimpora-Fruit Mandi, Rs 32.94 crore 25 km drain from Rawalpora-Tengpora and Rs 41.7 crore from Pohru Chowk-Chanapora drain are also at various stages of execution.
