One HM militant arrested in north Kashmir

Srinagar, Sep 11 (UNI) Security forces arrested a Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant along with some arms and ammunition in north Kashmir, official sources said today.

They said Jammu and Kashmir police and 6 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) launched a joint operation at Handwara following a tip off about the presence of militants there.

During the operation a HM militant Hilal Ahmad Mir alias Adil Shahzad was arrested from a hideout at Rajwar along with one AK rifle, one AK magazine, 30 rounds of ammunition.

Hilal had received training in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) in 2005, they said.
