MCD engineers sent to JC for irregularities in construction

New Delhi, Sep 11 (UNI) Special Judge A S Yadav today sent 13 engineers of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to 14-day judicial custody in connection with a case of irregularities in construction work.

The Anti-Corruption Branch had registered 8 FIRs in connection with the irregularities in the construction and repair of roads and desilting of drains during the period 2003-06.

Executive Engineer A K Gupta, Assistant Engineer Rajesh Sharma, Vishambar Dayal, Pankaj Goyal, C B Singh , Satyanarayan Goyal, S K Jain, Trilok Chand Meena, Gazanfar Ali, Md Salman Aquel, Ramesh Chand Singh, Vijendar Kumar Jain, Agnesh Verma, all Junior Engineers, were arrested yesterday.
