Conference on domestic violence against women on Sept 13

Panaji, Sep 11 (UNI) The Goa State Legal Services Authority (GSLSA) and the state Commission for Women have organised a conference here on September 13 on ''Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2006'' for judicial officers, to facilitate rightful implementation of the legislation.

Justice Ranjana Desai will deliver the key note address at the inaugural session, presided over by justice Nelson Britto, executive president of the authority.

Experts from the legal fraternity would discuss various provisions of the Act besides role of counselling and health professionals in this regard.

They will also deliberate on the implementation and interpretation of the Act through an interactive session.
