40 SHG women injured in road accident

Tirupati, Sep 11 (UNI) About 40 women members of Self-Help Groups were injured, five of them seriously in two separate road accidents here today.

Police said the accident occurred when women members travelling in two APSRTC buses were on way to attend UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi's public meeting at Renigunta near here from Rompicharla and Gollapalli.

While one bus rammed against a tree, the other fell into a roadside ditch, police said, adding, all the injured were admitted to the Govternment Ruia Hospital here.
