Itanagar, Sept 10 (UNI) The Arunachal Pradesh cabinet has approved introduction of Galo language in the schools of Galo areas.
Addressing a press conference here today Water Resources Development minister Tako Dabi said the language would be introduced at the primary level with Roman script.
Mr Dabi, further disclosed that the state government has also approved the establishment of first medical college at General Hospital Naharlagun.
The Centre had already approved for converting the hospital into a 500 bed hospital.
The government also approved nomination of social worker Jati Pulu for the post of Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) member, he informed.
The government has constituted a screening committee to examine the appointment on all such important posts in future to be headed by APPSC chairman including chief secretary and vice chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University as members, he said.
The cabinet also approved the creation of two new circle headquarters at Kakoi and Gumto under Papum Pare district, he added.
