Tiffin box with shrapnels, suspicious powder found in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, Sep 9 (UNI) Police today recovered a tiffin box containing sharpnels and small bags containing some powder from the city's Raipur area, the constituency of Gujarat Assembly Speaker and BJP leader Ashok Bhatt.

The tiffin box was lying near a temple. A few devotees spotted it and since it was unattended, they got suspicious. Soon the police was informed and when the tiffin box was opened, it contained shrapnels used for making bombs and small bags containing some suspicious looking powder, police said, adding, they have sent the powder for forensic analysis.

According to them, some miscreants could have put the tiffin box in order to create panic. They will know whether it was a live bomb or not after the forensic report of the powder is received.

Earlier on July 26, the city was rocked by serial bomb blasts, in which around 58 people were killed.
