Rupee opens near two-year low at 44.88/90 per USD

Mumbai, Sep 9: The spot rupee on Tuesday, Sep 9 opened weak to nearly two- year's low at 44.88/90 against per US dollar, as compared to the previous close of 44.59/60 on sustained demand for dollars in the inter bank foreign exchange market.

The domestic currency fell sharply to near two-year lows in the early trade, tracking negative sentiments in the stock market, dealers said.
