'Onam' holiday for schools

Puducherry, Sep 9 (UNI) The Puducherry administration has declared a holiday for all schools in Puducherry and Karaikal regions of the union territory on September 12 on account of "Onam", the harvest festival of Kerala.

The Mahe region has already declared a public holiday on that day.

According to an official release here today, September 27 would be a working day to compensate the holiday on September 12.
