Irate students damage school furniture

Nizamabad, Sept 9 (UNI) Irate students of a private school damaged the school's furniture following the suspicious death of a seventh class student in the hostel premises of the school alleging that the management was responsible for his death.

Police said the student P Mahesh (12) was charred to death under suspicious circumstances last night and the students demanded action against the school management.

However, when the situation went out of control, the police used lathi-charge, in which three students were injured.

The Education Department officials had seized the school building and the hostel. They assured the students that stingent measures would be initiated against the accused.

The Department would also cancel the affiliation of the school, they added.

The body was sent for post-mortem and the investigation was underway, police added.
