Warm, humid day in Delhi; mercury rises to 36.6 Deg C

New Delhi, Sep 8 (UNI) It was a warm and humid day in Delhi today with bright Sunshine and high humidity resulting in a rise in mercury to 36.6 Degree Celsius.

After heavy overnight rain, which brought some coolness in the air this morning, the appearance of a bright and clear Sun in the sky during the day led to a rise in the maximum temperature, from 34 Degrees Celsius yesterday, to 36.6 Degree Celsius.

Earlier in the day, the heavy overnight rains brought down the minimum temperature to 22.5 Degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal.

A total of 29 mm of rain was recorded till 0830 hours.

The weatherman forecast more rain and thundershowers in the city during the next 24 hours.

The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with rain or thundershowers likely in a few areas.
