Sonia to distribute prov cfts to unauth colonies residents on Sep 17

New Delhi, Sep 8 (UNI) Congress president Sonia Gandhi will distribute provisional regularisation certificates to residents of unauthorised colonies at a public meeting here on September 17, Chief of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee Jai Prakash Agarwal said today.

Addressing a meeting at the DPCC headquarters, where Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, MPs Sajjan Kumar, Krishna Tirath amd Mr Sandeep Dikshit and many Delhi Government Ministers were present, Mr Agarwal said Ms Gandhi will give away provisional certificates to representatives of the colonies at a public meeting at Ramlila Maidan on September 17.

At the meeting, the DPCC also passed a resolution to express their gratitude to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the Congress president for winning the approval of the Nuclear Supplies Group at its meeting in Vienna which has paved way for India's nuclear deal with the United States.

''It was due to efforts of Dr Manmohan Singh and Ms Gandhi that India got approval to do nuclear business with 45 vcountries,''the resolution said.
