SR announces special trains to clear Onam rush

Bangalore, Sep 7 (UNI) Southern Railway has announced special trains to clear rush for 'Onam' festival.

An official release said here yesterday that Yesvantpur-Quilon special train will leave Yesvantpur at 2100 hrs on September eight, ten and 13 and reach Quilon at 1130 hrs the next day.

On the return direction, Quilon-Yesvantpur special will leave Quilon at 1320 hrs on nine, eleven and 14 and reach Yesvantpur at 0445 hrs the next day.

The train will run from Yesvantpur via Banaswadi, Hosur, Dharmapuri, Omalur, Salem, Erode, Tirupur, Podanur, Palakkad, Trichur, Alwaye, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Changanacheri, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mevalikkara and Kayamkulam Jn to reach Quilon.

The trains will have a composition of two two-tier AC Coaches, Two three-tier AC Coaches, eleven second class sleeper coaches, two general second class coaches and two second class sitting-cum- luggage vans, the release added.
