Silver ornaments worth Rs 24 lakh seized at Vadodara station
Vadodara, Sep 7 (UNI) Gujarat Railway Police (GRP) personnel have seized 314 kg of silver ornaments, valued at Rs 24 lakh, from a passenger of the Ahmedabad-Banaras Sabarmati express at Vadodara station.
Acting on a tip-off, the GRP personnel searched an AC coach, as the train arrived here from Ahmedabad last night and arrested one Sriram Yadav, a resident of Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, for carrying the ornaments without proper documents.
Police have also seized two mobile phones and Rs 9,700 cash from his possession.
