MP to introduce Sixth Pay Commission from Sep 1: CM

Indore, Sep 7: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said that the recommendation of Sixth Pay Commission would be implemented in the state from September one.

Talking to reporters here ahead of his 'Jan Ashriwad Yatra' from the famous Omkareshwar pilgrim, Mr Chouhan said the state government employees would receive their salary from October according to the recommendation of the Pay Commission.

The Chief Minister claimed the amount of development work was done in the state during the BJP government's tenure which was not done by the Congress in the past fifty years.

''Madhya Pradesh will be placed in the category of the developed state, if the BJP retains power.'',Mr Chouhan said.

He alleged that the Centre was reluctant to allot grant earmarked for the state.

About the status of power generation in the state, Mr Chouhan also castigated the Centre for providing inadequate electricty.
