Karnataka to promote tourism

Madikeri, Sep 7: Karnataka Tourism Development Corporation(KTDC) had decided to start boating service at 'Abbi Falls' in the town, apart from 'Helipad' service at Golf grounds in the outskirts as part of the Government's plan to promote tourism in the State.

The official sources said the state government would adhere to the procedure before acquiring land as the tourist spots were attracting visitors and the government hopes to generate revenue from it.

The state government has sanctioned Rs ten lakh for the project, the sources added.
