JMM to launch stir demanding 3 Bengal districts to J'Khand

Kharagpur, Sep 7 (UNI) The State Committee of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) today decided to launch an indefinite 'gherao' of all the MPs and MLAs in Midnapur, Bankura and Purulia, demanding the districts' inclusion in Jharkhand.

Informing this, JMM's state unit president Ajit Prasad Mahato told UNI that the date of launch would be announced on September 22, when Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren would attend the ''Martyr's Day'' at Purulia Town, in memory of the five JMM supporters who were gunned down by police while agitating on the banks of river Kansabati.

Meanwhile, the JMM will initiate a Mass Signature Movement in support of their demand, Mr Mahato said adding the signatures would be handed over to the President.
