Boating at Abbi falls planned-MLA

Madikeri, Sept 7 (UNI) MLA Appachu Ranjan is keen to start a boating at the famous Abbi Falls in the town and to have a helipad at Golf grounds in the outskirts as part of promotion of tourism by the state government.

He said that he will talk to the Deputy Commissioner and Tahasildar to start the procedure for acquiring the land as the tourist spot is attracting hundreds of visitors each day.

Ranjan took local scribes to the area earmarked for the helipad in connection with the exploration of the area.

Rs ten lakh is sanctioned to commence the work, he said.
