UHVBN to ensure 6-hrs power supply to tubewells

Chandigarh, Sep 6 (UNI) In order to ensure minimum six-hour power supply to agricultural tubewells daily, the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHVBN) has decided to revise the power regulatory measures with immediate effect.

In view of the grid frequency and other technical parameters, it has been decided to impose load restrictions on industrial and independent industrial feeders from 0500 hrs to 0700 hrs and 1700 hrs to 0000 hrs, a UHVBN spokesman said here today.

However, 10 per cent of normal load would be allowed for lighting purpose.

He said the tubewell consumers of Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Panipat, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Jind and Sonepat would get power in two groups during day and night in different time slots.

It would be ensured that electricity was supplied to public water works minimum for one hour each in morning and evening.
