Puducherry CM to seek funds from Centre

Puducherry, Sep 6: Puducherry Cabinet met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister V.Vaithilingam here today.

All the five ministers, Chief Secretary (in charge) Naini Jayaseelan, Lt Governor's Secretary Kumarasamy and other senior officials participated in the three-hour long meeting.

According to official sources, the meeting discussed the financial crisis in general and assessed the shortage in each department. A report on fund requirement would be prepared.

Mr Vaithilingam and his Cabinet colleagues would leave for New Delhi next week to seek funds from the Centre.
