Approval to N-deal is step towards self-reliance in energy: CM

Mumbai, Sep 6 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today said the approval to the nuclear deal between the US and India by the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) was the victory of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's policies and a step towards becoming self-reliant in energy sector.

In a release here, he said India always supported the use of nuclear power for peaceful purposes and now, its position will be strengthened among the countries having nuclear technology.
