Naib Tehsildar arrested for accepting bribe

Kapurthala, Sep 5 (UNI) The vigilance staff today arrested a Naib Tehsildar for accepting bribe from a villager for making a correction in the Girdawari.

Naib Tehsildar Gurdev Singh, posted at Bholath sub division, was caught red handed while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from complainant Charanjit Singh of village Boparai.

Police has registered a case under the Corruption Act against the Naib Tehsildar.
