IFGL Refractories sets up bio-ceramics unit
New Delhi, Sep 5 (UNI) IFGL Refractories today said it has set up a facility for manufacturing of bio-ceramics in which orbital implants based on synthetic porous hydroxyapatite material are also produced.
These would be marketed under the trade name CeraEye. The brand CeraEye is manufactured as per the patented technology developed by Central Glass and Research Institute, Kolkata (CGCRI), a company statement said.
CeraEye is a hydroxyapatite based ocular implant, which substitutes lost natural eye ball either due to disease/accident or otherwise.
