Couple nabbed on graft charge

Kolhapur, Sep 5 (UNI) The officials of Anti-corruption bureau (ACB) today nabbed a husband-wife duo for misappropriating Rs nine lakh.

The couple was identified as Dr Mukund Murari Acharya, former joint director in education department, and his wife Usha, ACB sources said here.

Acharya 'retired' from service in 2005 on the ground of corruption charges against him and a confidential inquiry was conducted. In the inquiry, officials found that about Rs nine lakh were accumulated by corrupt way. Then, a case was registered and the couple was nabbed, the sources added.
