Constable, wife found dead under mysterious circumstances

New Delhi, Sep 5 (UNI) A Delhi Police constable and his wife were found dead under mysterious circumstances at their Model Town residence in North Delhi today.

While Som Pal (35), posted at Rashtrapati Bhavan, was found lying dead outside his bathroom with an electric wire tied to his hand, his wife Poonam's body was lying inside the bathroom, said the police.

Though Poonam had severe wounds on her head, Som Pal's body bore no injury marks.

No valuables were found missing and the house was bolted from inside.

It seems to be a case of suicide with the constable having killed his wife before ending life, but anything certain could be said only after post-mortem, said a senior police official.
