C-PYTE to spend Rs 5 cr on training of unemployed youths
Chandigarh, Sep 5 (UNI) The 26th meeting of Executive Board of the Centre for Training and Employment of Punjab Youth (C-PYTE) today approved a budget estimate of Rs 5 crore for the current financial year to impart training to 8000 youths.
The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Punjab Chief Secretary Ramesh Inder Singh.
Disclosing this here today an official spokesman of the Punjab Government said that presently there are 9 major C-PYTE campus throughout the Punjab campus located at Theh Kanyla, Nabha, Ludhiana, Faridkot, Lalru, Kaljharani, Ranike, Dera Baba Nanak and Madhir to impart pre-selection training to the youth for joining army, air force, central para military forces and police.
Prominent among others who were present in the meeting included Principal Secretary Employment Generation NS Kang and Director General (C-PYTE) GJ Singh and all the Divisional Commissioners of the state and the representatives of the various departments.
