7 die on spot as tanker run over tum tum
Bidar, Karnataka, Sep 5 (UNI) Seven people, including two woman and an 8-year old boy were killed on the spot and five others injured, when a oil tanker rammed into an overloaded tum tum (three wheeler) National Highway Nine at Humnabad in the district today.
Police all the victims were occupants of the autorickshaw.
The dead were identified as Fadal Ben (50), Karuna Shivappa (20), Viswanath Prabhu (20), Uday Manik (23), Nabi Saab (50), Vinayak Ashok (25) and the boy Sohail Alimuddin.
The injured had been admitted to government hospital in the city.
Due to the impact of the accident bodies were scattered all over the highway after the lorry had dragged the tum tum for some distance. Vehicular traffic was affected for some time on the highway that connects Hyderabad and Pune.
