SBI counterfeit racket: SIT interrogates bank accountant

Siddharthnagar, Sep 4 (UNI) Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing into the SBI Dumariaganj fake currency case has brought the bank's accountant to the state capital for interrogation, official sources said today.

Bank accountant Rajaram, who had joined the bank on July 15, was removed from the post and attached to the bank after STF unearthed the biggest counterfeit racket on July 29, the sources said.

Earlier, the former accountant Sagar was suspended over the same and attached to Naugarh branch of the bank, sources added.

Besides, STF had also summoned two constables and a sub-inspector to Lucknow yesterday for having close nexus with the sacked Dumariaganj SO Shamsher Bahadur Singh.
