Extremists hack 'police informer' to death

Jamui, Sep 4: Suspected extremists hacked a person to death on charges of him being a 'police informer' and seriously injured another at Judpariaya village in this south Bihar district.

Superintendent of Police Binay Kumar informed here on Thursday, Sep 4 that the suspected insurgents dragged out both the victims from their houses on Wednesday, Sep 3 and 'punished' them in a nearby field.

While Umesh Barniwal (32) was hacked to death on the spot, Samar Rana (28) sustained serious injuries. Later, the villaegers took the injured to a nearby hospital where his condition was stated to be critical, the SP said.The body has been sent for post-mortem.
