BJP opens Investors' Helpline in Andaman

Port Blair, Sep 4 (UNI) The BJP's Andaman and Nicobar (A&N) unit has opened ''Investor's Helpline'' here at the party head-office here in a bid to assist investors in the Islands.

''Politics is a separate issue. Our primary objective is to assist the investors,especially those in the village level, by furnishing appropriate information to regarding issues like shares, mutual funds, bonds and insurance in order to redress grievances,'' Andaman's BJP unit president Vishal Jolly told UNI today.

Mr Jolly added that the BJP had opened the ''Investors Helpline'' in all the states of the country.

'' Many of the investors have been exploited by unscrupulous investment agents and other operators. It will also put a check on such people getting indulged into any fraudulent activity,'' the state BJP president added.

''This is the first time a political party is setting up such cells for investors in this remote archipelago. The objective of opening such cell is positive and will surely prove a boon for the investors of the islands,'' Convener of Investment Cell (IC) K N Suresh told UNI.
