Arms recovered from NSCN-IM cadres
Kohima, Sep 4 (UNI) Police arrested two NSCN-IM cadres and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from them in Dimapur last night.
Official sources said after receiving a tip off, police raided a hotel near the Naga Shopping Arcade, at the heart of Dimapur town, and arrested the cadres for possessing an AK-56 assault rifle, three magazines of AK-56 with 128 live rounds of bullets, a US made pistol, 12 live cartridges of 7.65 weapons and a live grenade.
Police also recovered two mobile handsets from them.
The sources said it was part of a 'flush-out operation', which is being often conducted by the district administration to ensure that underground cadres do not carry weapons in populated areas.
