Wife, lover and six contract killers arrested

Bangalore, Sept 3 (UNI) Police today arrested a woman, her paramour and six contract killers on charges of kidnap and murder of her husband on August 17.

Police said M D Prabhavathi and her lover Biresh conspired to kill Vasu, who objected to their illicit relationship. They paid Rs One lakh to the killers to murder Vasu.

The culprits kidnapped Vasu and took him to Shimsha, about 150 km from here, where they strangled him with a cord and burnt his body using petrol.

Police seized a sumo vehicle used for the crime.
